Does one properly experience Italy without having spent a Sunday cooking with an Italian lady? I wouldn’t say so. Pille and I (Anaïs) have been helping Hanna with her English class on thursdays. She teaches English to three women, Mariagrazia, Rosemary and Cecilia. We started helping Hanna a few weeks ago and have told the students all about us and about Estonia and Belgium. Every class they are very curious about us and we start the class with them asking us questions they have prepared beforehand. We then go through the class by asking questions about the topic of that class. The topic of the last two classes has been traveling! Pille is a professional on this topic. She has a blog describing her travels and also has some videos that she made about the places that she traveled to (the link to her blog will be at the end of this post). We have therefore been watching some of her videos and have been discussing them, and the students have read her blog posts as well and have described them to us. The class is a really fun time because the students are so talkative and we have many interesting conversations!
This day at Cecilias really was amazing because it had such a comfortable and home like atmosphere about it. It felt like we went over to our grandma's place for lunch back home. We are so grateful to have experienced it! We learned how to make an amazing vegetarian lasagna and how a typical Sunday lunch looks like in an italian household. We really increased our cultural knowledge of Italy! This experience would not have been possible without the hospitable Cecilia or without Hanna inviting us to help out with her English classes.
Until next time! Anaïs xxx This is the link to Pille’s traveling blog: https://planetpille.wordpress.com/
